Mattress fabric is the material used to cover the core of a mattress, which is the support layer. The fabric is often thick and is called the ticking.

  1. Knitted Jacquard fabric – refers to a knitted fabric where intricate patterns are woven directly into the fabric using a special knitting technique called “jacquard knitting,” allowing for complex designs with multiple colors to be incorporated into the knit itself, rather than being printed on the surface; essentially, the pattern is created by selectively lifting and lowering individual yarn strands during the knitting process, resulting in a textured, detailed design.
  2. American Fabric –This fabric is made by looping yarn together using knitting needles, creating a flexible and stretchy material.
  3. FR Fabric Laminated –a fabric that has been treated to be flame resistant (“FR”) and then bonded with another layer, creating a laminated structure, essentially combining the fire-retardant properties of the FR fabric with the added functionality of the laminated layer, like increased durability or water resistance.
  4. China Fabric – Which is also known asWarp knitted fabric is a fabric made by interconnecting loops of yarn in a knitting machine. It’s similar to woven fabric, but the loops are intermeshed instead of interlaced.
